The Hermantown Boy's Hockey Team claimed the Section 7A title and earned a trip to the State Tournament with an 11-0 victory over Duluth Denfeld Wednesday night at Amsoil Arena.
Four Hawks tallied at least two goals in the championship contest, with Dallas Vieau and Zam Plante each recording hattricks. Gavin Blomdahl and Kade Kohanski posted two goals apiece, while Ty Hanson added four assists.
Vieau's hattrick came in Hermantown's six-goal first period on assists from Zam Plante, Max Plante and two from Hanson. Zam Plante scored two goals in the first period and his third just 12 seconds into the second period.
Hermantown will begin play at the State Tournament Wednesday, March 9, from the Xcel Energy Center.
